Fluorite with Dolomite from Mount Cleveland Mine, Luina, Tasmania, Australia, measuring 63 × 43 × 52 mm and weighing 119 grams. The combination pairs a fluoride with a carbonate, giving the specimen interest as an association as well as a Fluorite locality piece. Its three-dimensional proportions make it a useful subject for examination from more than one direction.

Fluorite is calcium fluoride, whereas Dolomite contains calcium and magnesium in a carbonate structure. Their presence together highlights the different minerals that can be associated within a mineralised system. The distinction is easy to overlook when concentrating on a single display species, but it adds a valuable chemical dimension to a collection organised around natural mineral associations.

Pale bluish-grey Fluorite areas sit among cream-coloured mineral material, with angular faces interrupting the softer overall texture. The association has a quiet palette, making shape and surface contrast more important than strong colour. A close view is rewarding here, following the boundaries between the more translucent areas and their paler surroundings. The provenance names the David Vince and Ruth Coulsell collections. Both are retained with the specimen, preserving its documented collecting connections. For a Tasmanian collection, the appeal is a coherent one: a named mine, two chemically distinct associated minerals and a useful display size, with the collection history adding another layer to the piece's identity.
