This specimen is Scheelite with Calcite and Quartz from the Tae Hwa Mine, Neugam-ri, Chungju City, South Korea, measuring 63 x 40 x 35 mm and weighing 109 g. It is recorded with the David Vince Collection. Scheelite is a calcium tungstate and an important tungsten ore mineral, typically forming in skarn deposits where tungsten-bearing fluids have reacted with limestone, or in quartz veins associated with granitic intrusions. South Korea has historically been a significant tungsten-producing region, with mines such as Tae Hwa drawing international attention from mineral collectors for well-formed Scheelite crystals. The associated Calcite and Quartz reflect the broader mineral assemblage typical of these skarn and vein-hosted tungsten deposits. At 63 x 40 x 35 mm, the specimen is a good cabinet size for the species, and Scheelite's characteristic adamantine lustre and tendency to fluoresce under ultraviolet light add further interest for a tungsten-mineral collection. The specimen's documented provenance is the David Vince Collection.
